I still can’t get a pic to load, I’ve tried several times, but my fuzz finish jazzmaster is not like that Strat, finish looks sprayed on not glued on carpet like the strat, feel free to email ken_n_su@yahoo.com I’ll send you one, and for the guy who smells bull check the bottom of your shoe, the guy with the Strat said it well, guess you don’t know collectible Fenders do you know it alls, yet always a snarky and ignorant reply.

Alright so you guys never heard of the famous "full fuzz finish" and still think you know vintage Fender guitars?

Shame on you :fp:
- was entirely tongue in cheek. Personally I also think it sounds made up or like something someone tried to make a DIY job sound collectible, just to get more money out of you (or whoever wanted to buy a fuzz finished guitar)...not having a photo doesn't help your case. I can only speak for myself, but I'm always open to new information and ideas about guitars, but you gotta have something to back it up. I think anything is possible though, considering it was the 60's, sure, why not make a fuzz covered guitar?

For the image, go to imgur.com, make an account, upload it there, and then copy the link address of the image once it's uploaded. Come to this post and click the little button with the mountains and paste the link.

I think you are probably referring to the fuzz-blaster from the summer of 68'? Its well documented that from August till mid-september of 1968 Leo and Fullerton went on a rampage deviant behaviour that led to a couple of odd finishes.

I have the strat model seen below, I think John Frusciante has the Jazzmaster model:

So many of this things’ appointments are like, way off the rails not close to Fender. Is this a real thing?! It’s wild! Also would love to know more about Leo and George taking LSD and doing things to guitars that they didn’t care about anymore cuz they were just biding their time to finish the cushy consultant jobs they’d lined up. I tried searching and found nothing about any of that so if you’ve got a link maybe I’d love to read about it because that sounds crazy.

Like, it’s hideous haha if you were just joking then disregard all of that I guess but I’m hoping it’s not a joke.

It's all very well saying we don't know our collectible Fenders but, without any kind of provenance, nor do you. As someone else has said, you could simply own something that a guy came up with in his garage. It could've been done very well & look legit but as far as it being an original Fender product? The jury is still out but I'll happily eat my words, if & when the time comes.

Upload your image using www.imgur.com by following one of these 2 tutorials.
They're less than 2 minutes long & super easy to follow....

LINK 1 or LINK 2

Now, if that incredible, fuzzy, orange Muppet guitar is for real I'm starting to believe. That thing really is bananas!!!
You think you can't, you wish you could, I know you can, I wish you would. Slip inside this house as you pass by.

I'm confused - is this actually a thing? It looks like something from the Banana Splits!

I'm also a little skeptical.

OSG covers more than 10 years worth of collective offset knowledge and literally nobody knows about this. It's certainly possible... but given that there's absolutely nothing about this ever mentioned before, and the fact that it just as likely could be a refin, you can understand people wanting a bit more evidence other than "It is because I say so, and y'all are just ignorant."

It's not like people here don't want to believe, it'd be a pretty interesting story if it were true.

all these fuzzy guitars remind me of the shag carpet that was in my bathroom growing up. hopefully you'll not see the horrors i did when i had to remove it.

It’s called “flocking”. Of course Fender didn’t do it.

Nailed it in one.

Likewise I'm 99.9% sure that the carpet covered '90s era Strat copy and backstory was posted as a joke, people.

“Well documented Leo and George deviant behavior” turned up searches for paid background check websites and nothing about Fender or guitars
