Custom Fuzz Finish Jazzmaster 63/69

Post by Kaulrich » Thu Apr 25, 2019 10:40 am

Anybody have any info on this crazy factory finish test unit? Assembled by Fender 1969 full fuzz finish and pickguard finish, all electrics orig save one pot. I’ve heard of a Mustang and a P Bass exist as well.

Is this like the kind of fuzz that's on a Foxx Tone Machine casing?

Yep, can't wait to hear about this super rare prototype (with no provenance whatsoever).

;D I'm trying not to be cynical here, after already showing interest. But....then I looked back at the original post again....

I'm starting to get a faint whiff of bullshit.

The different pot is actually all original(tm) too, because one-of-a-kind prototype.

They actually used Leo's own New Old Stock pubic hair for the finish.

I think you are probably referring to the fuzz-blaster from the summer of 68'? Its well documented that from August till mid-september of 1968 Leo and Fullerton went on a rampage deviant behaviour that led to a couple of odd finishes.

I have the strat model seen below, I think John Frusciante has the Jazzmaster model:
