I'll go for the easy one... Squier Super-Sonic

And there was a reverse Jaguar bass in the Fender Pawn Shop series a few years ago

The Fender Custom Shop made one they called the "Cabronita Borracha"...

...and a pretty crazy reverse JM for Josh Hager of Devo

None of these are vintage though.

I would post my own - but as the imgbb seems to be down… Eastwood Sidejack Deluxe and some other Mosrite Variants: Image

On the pics this Metallic Blue looks so cool (more turquoise) almost snagged a Baritone of that locally… but on. The seller‘s pics it was way more blue… like Squier‘s Lake Placid Blue… which sadly isn‘t my type.

These improvised reversed offsets make sense.

I don't understand the point of reverse offset guitars. I thought the idea of the offset is to make a more comfortable guitar. Doesn't reverse offset make a guitar less comfortable?

I believe the idea behind the ergonomics as laid out in the patent had to do with sitting down with a guitar.

I almost never play my electric guitars sitting down.

My Guild T-bird is probably the most comfortable guitar I've ever played while standing, because the massive forearm contour means that, no matter what strap height or angle it's at, my picking arm always rests on a surface that is ramped toward the strings and devoid of corners.

That has nothing to do with the waist itself, except maybe for the fact that the bevel is thickest over the waist, and the waist is behind the bridge, so actually maybe it has everything to do with being a reverse offset waist.

In any case, the ergonomics for my uses are peerless among classic designs.

aye - i was playing my Firebird V last night for an extended period while *sitting* and felt the same way. standing, too.
i always appreciated the Jazzmaster for how it 'frames' the neck for my eyesight and hand positions (i have long arms and played bass before focusing on guitar)... but the reverse offset Firebird places the neck in a refreshingly comfy place, maybe even better for me.

that said, 'the point' of reverse guitars might be at least as much about style than ergonomics/comfort. for many years, i could hardly notice
whether a guitar was comfy or not, i was focused on tone and what sounds i could make with it, tuning stability, and yes, even looks.
i rarely played for more than two hours straight, so comfort was not an issue in my 20's and 30's at all. the same might have been true for the makers of these reverses.
