Hard to see in B&W, but this one looks Olympic White and not Blonde. Is that a Black Guard?? Looks like it could be.
I have found that this was from August 8, 1959. They were on the show often.

judging by the screw configuration on the guard (9 screws) i´d say that could be one of those black aluminum guards. a prototype/pre-production guitar perhaps..?
