1965 Jaguars
I'll get to the point: what's a fair price for an all original L-series in sunburst go for these days? Not mint by any means, but a real beat up cosmetically, but perfect playing guitar. I might go put one on layaway tomorrow but I have to admit I'm out of date on prices. If I do, I'll post pictures of it.

Well on ebay it goes anywhere from $800-$250,000,000. Or so it seems as of lately.

it seems mid 60s sunburst jags have been going frtom about US$2.2k - US$3k, all in various levels of "mojo" type finishes.
These prices have risen slightly over the past 12- 18 months, one could pick up a good to great condition mid 60s sunburst jaguar for US$1.65k - US$2.5k
prices have not lept forward as much a JM have.
but then there are even bargains like this custom colour 64 which was only up long enough to get 3 viewings before it was bought with buy it now for US$1800. Geeeeezzzzz why do I need sleep, can't I watch ebay 24 hours a day ?
I know one day I'll pull off a deal like this [well at least one where the seller doesn't suddnely pull out of the deal because the old women he is ripping off finds out what he is doing.... but that's another story]
Do you have a particular jaguar in mind or have you just now decided that is what you want to buy next ?

Do you know the asking price? Does it have the right case? Has the guitar been hanging in the store for a long time or did it just come in? Those are good things to know so that you may be able to negotiate.
