I had a '63 that the red was all bleached out of:

Maybe you don't have access to my personal folder? Try the link in "My Offset" thread and see if you can see the album. I'll have to get with jay if it doesn't work.

is it my eyes, or in the pic that doug just put up of the body with the fadded red, is this "wood join" not parallel with the general longitudinal direction of the guitar ?
relaxing alternative to doing actual work ...

There's two seams... it looks like a single piece running somewhat diagonally through the center of the guitar!
