This may have been posted here already, I'm new. (used to be barytoni on the FDP).
Came across one of the best, most hilarious videos ever on YouTube with some band playing 2 62 white Bass VI's and 2 Jazzmasters. Woah:
Tielman Borthers, Boosa Nova Baby

did anyone else notice that at least one of those bass VI's had no fender logo or anything else on the headstock? I didn't get to see the other one though. The headstock looked a bit too big too.

weird, huh?

I'm more perplexed to see that surreal lip synching.
But yes you're right on the no logo, perhaps an earlier prototype. Both VI's look to be 62's.

Funny-ass video!
Saw it once before.

That'a gotta be the swinginest 'Bossa Nova' I've ever seen... 8)

They must'a really been up on the '66 technology since they had those Wireless guitars.

Wow .. that's some fancy footwork to go with the matching suits. Kids these days just don't know how to put on a show.

;)

I love the sound .. I can only imagine how full that must've sounded live with two Bass VIs and a couple of JMs, at least one of which was 10-string .. you can just catch a glimpse of the extra tuners right at the very end. I can kinda see how the gamelan influence filters in there.

I'd like to find a proper recording of that one as you can really hear the VI's up front. Possibly not using flatwounds?
Nice and trably.

And greetings to all of you. This forum is great and long overdue.
