The "crazy deal"? Yeah, tried it for a couple of minutes, but I don't know enough about Jags to say if it's a good one. And it wasn't set up when I tried it. Bought a 1963 JM there though and the guy in the store set it up beautifully for me. He knows his offsets.
Cool, thanks. I might give them a call about that one.

That was a Jaguar from 1972, must have fell out of a van, or tied to the back of a car and dragged on the highway.

The above is true.

That color is officially named "Smoker's Lung".
Also, that Tele might have cancer.

Seeing the amazing smoke damaged Esquire & Strat raises two questions in my mind :-
1. My 63 CAR Tele is shown some pages back, & I had always assumed that this fading resulted from UV exposure fading, but now I am wondering if this is also due to cigarette smoke?
2. As a non-smoker I am thinking about just what the inside of my lungs are like having also been exposed to such conditions over a year or ten? (fortunately in the UK smoking in indoor public places has been banned for several years now & as a result pubs & clubs are much more pleasant places to play in)

I've only been playing for 5-6 years (only 19), but I can only hope when I get to the point I've had guitars for 25+ years that I can get some killer colours that I see in this thread!
I play a bass, I sing a song, I write a music.

discolouring and wear happens faster than you might think. my tele is beat to crap and its only played 2 gigs. as for the mis-colouring its definetly a diffrent shade of blue under the gard

I have to say that I've yet to look under my basses, so I may have some hidden discolouring!
God, now I'm tempted to find out
