Another gear-related message board recently had a thread about this gorgeous 1972 black Bass VI :

i thought it had a USA CG body
maybe i'm thinking of a different VI with blocks&binding...
i know somebody had a NOS neck and mated it with a USA CG body
don't think THAT was Rich...

That's close to the same headstock decal, I believe.
the "custom body" or whatever decal thingy seems a bit too high though.

the logo on the black one is black, not gold...
and it looks exactly like other 70's ones i've seen...
which have only been like... three

this was on ebay or Gbase
as was this '72...

Well I can honestly say I want one of those now, those clips were giving me all kinds of wild musical ideas for a Fender Bass VI.

Why do so many threads end up being "What's with the headstock decal?" threads?
Oh, and that VI is gorgeous. I need a computer that I can listen to it with!
