Re: NGD. 1961 Jazzmaster.
heheheh...it was worth the wait, this one
The shot in France is when I played a small festival in Dijon...they had hired backline for us, so I am not sure of the exact model...it sounded great though!
This was the first time I played far away from home, and everyone there was super-nice!
Definitely keep us updated on the new offset project!

We have some sunshine today, and even though I am about to leave home for the next three days, I managed to pop the '61 in the balcony for a couple of snaps!
happy holidays everyone!

That looks beautiful, Yannis. All feels right in the world now that you have this guitar back.
Reminds me of my matte White Partsmaster, but not nearly as nice as yours: http://tinyurl.com/kxkooqk

Many thanks, Steven!
It is really nice to have her back. I hope to sort out my Princeton when I get back so I can rock out
That is a gorgeous JM you have! Is the guard vintage?

Not sure...there is a bit of a hiss and it doesn't feel right...it might be the step down transformer, but I will take it to the tech anyway I think.

Yes sir, get your Princeton in tip top shape! Your guitars deserve a good working amp, just as much as your amp deserves good working guitar.zhivago wrote:Many thanks, Steven!

And Yep, a vintage '63 tort that I bought off Nick/Kosmonautmayhem. Good stuff!

aha...the vintage tort always shines!!
Yes, hopefully it is not a big thing with the Princeton...I have some time off work next week too, so I will see if the tech is around so I can at least drop it off.

I'm positive it won't be a big issue. Good thing about having such a small simple vintage amp is that they're easy to work on and there isn't much that can go wrong that can't be easily remedied.

My my, you're just a nice telecaster away from owning my perfect guitar collection!
What's with the wear/damage on the upper body horn?

It's nice to be important, but it's important to be nice.

Ah yes...a nice early 60s Telecaster would be awesome...I dunno, they are so, so expensive, and there are so many fakes out there...I'd have to buy from Gruhn or someone of that calibre to be certain, and that will costs thousands upon thousands...
you never know though, if my career gets better and better I might be able to wing it one day...of course, the better my career gets, the less time I have to play!
The damage on the upper horn came from my strap...it was always on there, and in the front I had a metal badge from the Russian army...the badge actually had a protruding screw that would rub against the finish over the course of three years.

A ha ha. I was also curious about the wear on the upper horn but wouldn't have thought of a Russian badge! That's the kind of wear that makes the guitar totally personal. Congrats, she's a beaute.

Awesome story behind the wear! Reminds me of my Tele, which has a bunch of gauges, scratches, and wear onthe side of the lower leg cutaway (for lack of a better description) from playing the guitar on the couch and having it rub up against the hard edges and contours of my old Macbook also on my lap. Less cool, of course.
