It would've been genius if he'd put it where the rhythm switch plate was on the horn. Still would've been immature and not to my taste, but genius all the same.
It's a shame it had to happen this way but this might have just given me a moment of realisation. The Jaguar's top horn does sort of follow the shape of the Jaguar car logo. Was Leo inspired, somehow?

It's quite obviously a fake when one looks closer into it, but originally I think that's one of those baritone Jaguars (it also has a 21-fret neck) and so the bridge would have been in that position to start with, along with a stop bar that has been removed to retrofit a vibrato, leaving two unused thimbles.
