1964 Jaguar

Post by Soiouz » Fri Jan 17, 2020 7:30 am

Well, I somehow stumbled upon another old Fender that lost its neck sometime in the last decades..

This superb 1964 Jaguar apparently was robbed of its neck to save... a Mustang, back in the early 1990s..

I need a late 1963, or 1964 neck to complete this!

Black or grey bobbin PUPs?
relaxing alternative to doing actual work ...

I was able to find a Marr neck on Reverb from the Stratosphere for my 63 Jag body ark replace a bad neck. It’s a very similar profile and it’s been nice to get on with enjoying it. I know it’s not vintage, but I think it’s the best Jag neck I’ve played outside a vintage one.

Good luck.
Lee

Found an early 1965 neck that will do for now.

Beautiful! What do you mean "for now"?

Well, if I ever find a good 64 neck, I would replace the 65 one to a correct 64.

Just for the fidelity, or is the profile a bit different?

1964 neck with a 1964 body is just the correct way of completing this guitar.

Looks great! You could complete the ritual by stealing a neck from a Mustang to complete this one..... blasphemy!
