With enough time, anything can be saved - wood is pretty agreeably to being sawed and planed and having new pieces glued on to replace what has been hacked off. It takes quite a bit of time though!

I should be getting the last of the clear shot this weekend, then buff it out in a couple weeks.

You should put a picture of how it was originally in the cavity.

I really like the disclosure message in the cavity.

I also like how it seems as though the last coasts of clear will go OVER that message, so any future owner/seller would have a harder time removing it if they were trying to misrepresent.

And covering it up would also mean covering up the all-important body date. And photographing the body date for an eBay listing also means photographing that note.

Brilliant work!

how about beating up the finish hard, giving it a red tort guard, a single coil in the bridge and an old Epiphone humbucker in the neck, eh?
