Yes this!
My preference for restorations is to sometimes take the cool route - eg custom colour where maybe that might have been a very rare occurrence, but always within the realms of possibility.
Also, That doesn't sound like a cool combo! i like the offwhite plate with blue. And don't listen to the tortmongers either, be strong!

No! Please go with Daphne!
What I mean is, I would only go with what 'could have happened' on a vintage rebuild like this. I'm quite fussy, but I feel like one non orginal looking piece just marks something out as a parts guitar

Re: Fender Mustang 1964 Restoration!
That is a pretty sweet mustang aswell=)
yes that was all that he had wrapped around the guitar, there was also a plastic bag around the news paper=)
There also was a terrible pickup hole reapir, i knew that there was a repair when i bought it but not this bad, so i had to take the old wood filler out and do it again.
i forgot to take picture of the old repair, but here is some pictures how it looks now.

I say Daphne Blue, mint pickguard, with black pickup covers, and a natural headstock.

Mint pickguard? Can you post a picture?
Im gonna prime the body with white primer, but i dont now what kind of primer
I can use! Is there someone who can give me an answer to this?
I have only used polycolors before. And i dont think i can use that kind of
Primer. Am i right?
