HTML, please.

Post by Maggieo » Fri Dec 22, 2006 9:19 am

I'd sure like it if we enabled some html tags here.  I use html all the time and I swear, I have to rewrite every other post here because I keep formatting things with html.  Also, it'd be nice to be able to use image tags, because then I could actually size oversized images to fit the page and not have to have the weird in-post side scroll thing happening.

If nothing else, I'd like to have anchor tags, because it always takes me three tries or so to get the goofy [url ] link thing to work.

I didn't want to turn on html becuase I'm trying to limit the amount of customizability people can do with their posts. Not that I think you'd ever do this but the last thing I want to see is an entire post of bold red text played with the code in this post.  It appears to be working.  If it gets ugly I'm going to turn it back off.

URL BBC is simple btw...  here's a basic rundown:

Code: Select all

[url]http://www.offsetguitars.com[/url]

or

[url=http://www.offsetguitars.com]LINK TO OFFSET GUITARS[/url]

You can even embed [img] items within the [URL] to create img thumbnails that link to a larger img or site

Oh, I know BBCode is simple, but with all my other web work in html, then I get brain farts when I try to switch to BBCode for here.

Thanks for turning on the html!
