Hello
Do you know just how frustrating it is not to be able to view pictures in the OSG forum ?
So can you you help me, It must one of the settings on IE, sometimes it allows the pictures to show when veiwing the first few threads then when clicking for the next page no pictures show up at all and then the avatars of the posters don't show up either.
This happens on several sites I visit but is most pronounced on OSG.
Now all I get is the square cicle and triangle.
Any suggestions for the cause of the problem ?
Yours in advance etc ...

Yep, run the virus scan regularly. If I close IE and start it again, it works for a while and then the pictures drop out.
I think there may be a setting in IE that is causing it, but of course I don't know anything about it.

Yup. Your problem is called IE. The existence of IE is an embarrassment for the programming community.windmill wrote: Any suggestions for the cause of the problem ?
I suggest you download a decent Web browser, like Firefox or Opera.
If you can't (browsing from a PC at work, without the admin rights to install applications), then sorry.

I've changed the temp i'net file folder setting and now the only site I'm having problems with is this one, which of course has all the pictures I want to look at.
Any ideas ?

That is odd, particularly because hardly any of our pics are hosted here, they're all off-site via photobucket, imageshack, etc.
I personally would take Haddock's advice but I can understand you might not want or be able to fire up another browser, and I don't know much about IE, particularly recent iterations. Have you looked through the preferences - there might be something obvious in there, maybe under the security settings?

I am using a mac, but had the same problem with safari. I just use Firefox to look at the forum and the pictures load just fine....almost too fine.
