HELP! I cant see.

Lately i have noticed some pictures i cannot see. Especially the last two posts with pictures i have done here is an example

I can see it when i preview it, and even the first time i look at it in the thread. Then after that, i can no longer see it. I am running firefox on my iMac.

What gives. Help me see again.

Maybe check the security settings in Firefox?  Have you updated your browser or anything recently?  Windows updates (I'm running a PC, obviously) will fuck my browsing up sometimes and I have to McGyver the settings to get things back to normal.

every thing seems to be ok. Some pictures i can see some i cant. I have turned off anything i think might cause it, but granted i am not the most computer savvy. Any suggestions?

I can't see that pic at the top.

What picture host do you use? Often if you just get an image from some address, the server that the image is from won't let it appear in bb codes either due to bandwidth limits or copyright.

Often you will be able to see a picture that everybody else can see (if you've uploaded it) because it stores the image in your browser's cache

So use something like photobucket or tinypic

I don't see any picture here, but I see in the code a link to an image on a server called webshots.com.

If I copy the image link and try to access it directly, I get a "Forbidden" answer. So this is probably a site where image viewing is restricted to registered users; it can not be used for public posting in forums, I'm afraid.

(ask for precisions if I'm not clear, I'm at work but my brain is still sleeping)

Interesting. When I copy and paste the link directly, I see a Fender performer. But yeah, it doesn't show up in your post or your quote. I think indeed there's some non-hotlinking policy involved. Photobucket accounts are free and work here, maybe open one?

ahhhh. i see (no pun intended).

I have a flickr account, but sometimes when i want to post a picture, i do a google image search and use that. Im lazy.

But this all makes sense.
