i notice swearing is fair game in here!
i don't care, but most boards **** out the offending adjectives
what made you decide it is okay to **** and ***** all over the boards!
are we asuuming there are no 10yr old Jm fans out there
or people who would be offended
btw, the site is the shit! well done!

We're glad you enjoy the forum!
We have a policy of minimal moderation here. The only way we can do that is to have members who are reasonable and level-headed. We feel a little swearing (in context) is nothing to be uptight about. However, we do not tolerate lewdness spewed out just for vulgarity's sake! So it's a delicate balance. We HAVE had to mention it a few times, and remind people to watch it. Overall, it hasn't been a problem and we hope to keep it that way.
As long as it's not exceptionally nasty, or directed at another member... a little strong language is OK.

I have noticed the swearing thing too! I think it is good that we are all able to monitor our own language. It's just a testament to the stellar bunch of people that frequent this board! Also, the Mods and Admins do a great job of keeping us in line!!

hehe, we did have a period of censorship in the very beginning... if you wrote strat it came out as $trat, but we came to our senses eventually and realized it was a bit childish. plus it fucked up URL links if they contained any of the banned words. (note the obvious need for the F-word in that sentence
)

Sometimes I still spell it $trat! It never seems to get old...

I rushed forward in time to the Reading Fest, took a lot of Pot Noodle Cigarettes, came back and as such could hear the colours forming the bad words, offending my innocence which I bought back from a confused Hitch Hiker who said something about not panicking, a guide to the galaxy and Vogon poetry destroying said innocence and life.
