Where is the equipment exchange section

Post by pullover » Mon Oct 09, 2006 2:55 pm

I read about it in the rules, but I don't see it anywheres. Am I missing something, I am sober but I still can't find it.

I checked the rules and found this:

New members must reach a mininum post count to be able to participate in the Equipment Exchange.

So keep posting!  ;)

you know, this is a welcome improvement over that "other" forum, where the phrase "i'm thinking of selling my [whatever]" would earn you a bill for $30 from the moderator. talk about an extortion racket! they actually deleted one of my posts where i said "i'm thinking of selling my car" to pay for a new guitar.

of course, i did that just to provoke them (tee hee).

It's no secret, 50 posts lets you into the for sale section.

We just picked the number out of the air .. we wanted a minimum number of posts to deter spammers, and it seemed about right .. it would be annoying to make 50 posts if all you wanted was to get into the For Sale section, but if you're actually hanging out here you'll get to 50 posts in no time.

I might have to work up a quick FAQ on this and the "Expat" thing .. people are asking questions but it was never our intention to keep things secret or mysterious.

Mezcalhead,
I was just trying to be funny with the secret number statement.  I figured out it was not a secret, only just part of the growing pains of a new site. Thank you and all the other Mods for this wonderfull site.

Thats one of several things that irked be about the "other" forum, it was a "For Profit" organization and they ran it that way. I don't know how much money they made, but they should have been able to run the site from advertising profits only. I think it bothered me most whenl I went to the suggestion area and saw the hekling Non-contributors got from contributors  for making suggestions. Your not special just because you gave your money away to some dude who retired early and had a computer. That's just hostile man!  end rant.
