Why should we buy postage stamps? We can make our own.

Re: Where is the equipment exchange section
Give me a break dude. There's a real good reason to have a minimum post count for the sale section and I really don't think I should have to exlain it (especially when asked so impolitely) but I will.
As I've said before, this site is FREE and we don't particularly want that to be taken advantage of. But even more so, we don't want you (or any other user) to be taken advantage of. So there is a minimum post requirement for the sale forums to prevent spammers or any random asshole from signing up for the sole purpose of ripping you off. And we're not going to be someone's cheap alternative to eBay. So if you're actually interested in being here and contributing to our community great. We'd love to have you and you'll reach 50 posts in no time.

So you actually run a forum and can't sympathize? And you run a forum and want me to make a rule exception solely for you? Because you make pickguards and paint bodies you deserve a special exception. I'll tell pullover that he has to wait still because you have "business" to do.

I don't see what the hurry is .. the rate you're posting you'll get there in no time. And the posts you've made so far are generally really informative and interesting, so .. seems like a win/win to me.
And, as Jay says, the rules are there to protect the users too. You've got rules on your own forum that you put in place for a good reason, and you wouldn't want to see them ignored. You wouldn't be pleased if one of us went over there and demanded that you give us special treatment.

Hey, it's free .. I can point you to at least one site that will expect you to pay $30 a year (or more frequently) for access to the classifieds.Aug wrote: Oh, that's a bunch of crap! >:(

I think the 50 post system is fair - it only took me a couple of weeks of genuine posts to gain access to the exchange, and I'm not even here to buy stuff - just to talk about offsets!

Hummm, I know I'll think twice about doing business with someone who throws tantrums and thinks that he or she is above the rules everyone else has to play by.
Or should I make an exception to "buyer beware," because someone DEMANDS IT!?

I was lookin around over there at SS.org and this guy actually refers to his "customers" as pains in the ass.Maggieo wrote: Hummm, I know I'll think twice about doing business with someone who throws tantrums and thinks that he or she is above the rules everyone else has to play by.

Re: Where is the equipment exchange section
I think the 50 mark is just right. It makes it just annoying enough to keep spammers out, and it's attainable.
I just made 51 posts and it popped right up.
Pullover = 1
Suckers with less than 50 posts = 0
Celebration at my house tonight guys. I would like to thank my Mom, my Dad, My lovely wife for sticking by me through it all.... Im going to Dis KNee Land!!!! woo hoo

no...that was just one customer, and he fully knows I'm joking. You see, on our forum, many of us either live really close together or we speak regularly on the phone, so to a complete stranger, I can see how you'd think that.fullerplast wrote:I was lookin around over there at SS.org and this guy actually refers to his "customers" as pains in the ass.Maggieo wrote: Hummm, I know I'll think twice about doing business with someone who throws tantrums and thinks that he or she is above the rules everyone else has to play by.

Again, I apologize for being impatient.

I apologize for misconstruing your words and repeating something that may not be true.
Peace.
