I registered a few years ago and now had some trouble logging into the site.
I was a bit flustered because I found that this site ONLY allows you to reset your password if you know you're username. What if it's been a while and you forgot your username? Re-register is the only option then. Not the best experience. Most forum sites these days allow you to retrieve your username and/or reset your password.

Ok, after I posted I noticed that this forum is built with phpBB. Therefore I realize that this is can't be an isolated issue with "offsetguitars.com".

After a quick search I found that this has been an ongoing user issue with phpBB.

Meanwhile I'll handle this the old fashioned way...I'll write my username down on pen and paper.
