NGD Silverbursty goodness
Impulse buy. Was checking out Professional Jazzmasters a month ago and stumbled on the silverburst announcement, preordered immediately. It's an illness.
In love:

Congrats! I think yours is the first NGD for these.
I agree that they are friggin' gorgeous. I do NOT need another JM, but the GAS is real with these. If a body pops up on Stratosphere, I don't know if I could resist Coro-necking one...

Did it come with the matching strap? Cool if it did!

No, I found that strap locally and it's actually a bit better quality than the tan ones they often toss in the case. As soon as I spotted it, I knew it would be perfect.MechaBulletBill wrote:Did it come with the matching strap? Cool if it did!
Thanks for the kind words. I picked this one out of about seven or eight. Looked for the best spray and the best / darkest neck. That ebony is incredible.

I'm glad there are a lot of guitar players pursuing technique as diligently as they possibly can, it leaves this whole other area open to people like me.

I love how any photograph of a silverburst guitar automatically looks like it has an old time B&W filter applied to it. Congrats!

I'm not usually a fan of Fender's bursts. Sunburst, Antigua, Marlin, but this one is drool worthy and looks perfect with that dark neck and black guard. Putting tort on it would be a crime against nature IMO.

I may or may not have thought this when I was young...otis wrote:someone I know used to think that in the past the whole world was black and white.

My nan reckons she remembers the 50s in b&w. I think they did a study that showed that visual memory can be informed by photos/film footage which is why people remember (and even dream) in black and white.otis wrote:someone I know used to think that in the past the whole world was black and white.

about dreaming in black and white; I've heard this before, but I guess it might be something personal or occasional.MechaBulletBill wrote:My nan reckons she remembers the 50s in b&w. As a very regular and often concious dreamer I'm sure I dream in colours.
It's funny your grandma remembers things in black and white!

Looks awesome. I'm currently without a JM and these are calling me. Thoughts on the pickups?
