Times change. Remember when dog Jimmy used to go white and chalky? Now it grows hair! We got used to it. We'll get used to poly. -blueavenger

Hi, 'Stang's are lovely guitars yes, but I don't see how they are offsets, I eman the body looks like a smaller strat to me? Am I blind or is there a different reason?

Mustangs are definitely offsets. What is "offset" is the waist of the guitar.Naturality wrote: Hi, 'Stang's are lovely guitars yes, but I don't see how they are offsets, I eman the body looks like a smaller strat to me? Am I blind or is there a different reason?
I crossed the waistlines of a $tratocaster and a Mustang on photoshop to show you how a Mustang is an offset, as opposed to the $trat's traditionnal waist:

Ah, I see, thanks, I thought it was the butt of the guitar that sticks out on jag's and jazzes

I guess that would make my Maverick an "Offset Cut Butt" guitar.

That would make a great little outrigger decal for the ball-end of the headstock....
