Anyone else's faded already? Barely had this a year and popped the neck off the other day. For all I know could've come from the factory like this, but I think it is pretty awesome nonetheless.

Yea mine is as well. I noticed it the other day when I was adding some shielding to the pick guard I will have to post some pics up soon.

I had one of the old Highway one strats with the lacquer finish, after about a year it looked 20 years old. It amazingly seemed to be picking up dye from my jean jacket.

I loved the first run of the Highway 1 Teles (the ones with the 50s styling) ... I'd one in two tone sunburst that aged spectacularly over the few years I had it. Whatever nitro they were using was extremely light and reactive - after about three years it looked far older.

Put some masking tape on it and voilá, competition stripes

Mine has developed a small mark by the heel that looks like someone colored it with a highlighter. Just a little yellowish mark. Not anywhere near where it's regularly handled and on the back where no one would see it. I've noticed in eBay auctions that others have had similar marks as well, some more dramatic than mine.

I've had this happen, too, with flannel shirts that I often wear on stage (How cliche of me haha). I figured out it's from new clothes that haven't been washed to get all the residual dye out, the sweating makes it run I guess. It's on my 50's road worn tele, which is a nitro finish but also an ESP Phoenix I have that has a poly finish, which I find interesting that it happened to that one. I know there is some moderately popular tele player that wears basically a peacoat when playing and like half the body of his tele is dyed, have even seen boutique replicas of it. Can't remember who it was though.

What's weird is up until recently, I kept this thing in it's case a large majority of the time. Hasn't been on a tour yet as it needed a pickup swap. A friend offered the theory that being in the case could've also helped speed the process, with nowhere for the air and nitro to go, but I don't know anything about that. It is totally uniform across the body though, not splotchy like sun exposure would do, so maybe.

That surf green is gonna be righteous as it ages! It's probably just from your use, i've got one of the jags and i'm just waiting for the wear to start since it's probably meant to age slightly quicker (i'm hoping). Anyone else thought the classic series finish seems like it will dramatacize it's age with normal use?
