A friend of mine received his yesterday : 383,5 mm @ half scale (inner neck nut edge to middle of 12th fret), which makes it a mere 767 mm (30,2") full scale...

A typo ? Ahahah !

Stating 767 mm is 30.3" in their 1996 catalog (Volume 50 #1) was a typo, no doubt, given it's hardly 30.2".
Making the same one 10 years later is beyound belief.

I dont't get how so many people get different measurements.  It's sort of hard to measure with precision, granted, but still.  I've now seen three people measure their CS Bass VI with three different results.

From inner nut edge to middle of 12th fret - 15" exactly, 380 mm, and now 383.5 mm.  Who knows.

i had a few made
one of which is at USA CG

it was slightly warped but lines up really well
except the bridge post openings
i've had to file those on every one...

a pickguardian guard will cost more than what USA CG would have charged... but it's readily available...

Mike Matera (btw, where is HE???) had a USA CG body with binding made and used his MIJ pickguard as a template to make the 4switch/Jaguar pickup routs himself

i'm thinking about doing that for my first 4switch project...

Unfortunately, no.  Not even for an upcharge.  You have to go (are forced to go  :() all the way to masterbuilt for that.

Oh my God!!!  It's amazing!!!

First impression:  The case is black!
Second impression:  Sunburst!  The most beautiful sunburst ever!  Maybe cause its mine!  :D
And so on...
I plugged it in and it felt like a rocket ship taking me to some far off planet full of beautiful black haired girls and moody art-types who listen to too much post rock.  ;D

Seriously, I'm in the clouds.  It's awesome.  I'd write more but I'm at work, and I don't have the time.

Oh, and the scale:  30".  Measured from the facing edge of the nut to the center of the twelfth fret.  Anyone that says the scale is anything but precisely 30" either got their information from some bunk measurement, or made a bunk measurement themselves.

Thank you, thank you, I'd like to thank the Fender CS for making this possible, my mom for the encouragement and birthday money, Mahar's Vintage Guitars for paying me back for the Strat I sold you and my fiancé Saraa for putting up with my VI obsession.
