Pretty pissed, need some pickguard help.
I ordered a white pearloid pickguard for my '65 Japanese Mustang from Reverb. The guard I ordered specifically stated that it was for '65 Japanese Mustangs, but as soon as I hooked everything up, I realized nothing lined up on the body. I'm going to the refund process, but this is just a pain in the ass. Anyway, does anyone know where I can get an affordable white pearloid pickguard that will actually fit my guitar? I paid around $45 for the one that didn't fit.

There was a seller on ebay who sold ones that specifically fit MIJs, and they definitely fit coz I swapped a pearl for a black one but it was a UK store and it doesn't have anything for sale right now.

Hey, thanks man. I just ordered one from WD after I sent them a tracing. We'll see what happens. Apparently, the original seller swears that it fits a '65 Japanese Mustang and I sent him a tracing as well because he said he'd be able to identify the pickguard. It'll be interesting to see what happens. I'll be pretty upset if the original seller assembled this guitar and listed it as a '65 Japanese Mustang. I still love the guitar and I'll keep it, but the serial number on the neck and lack of body contour tells me it's a legit '65.

Sneaky T makes Japanese mustang guards. He's got a reverb store as well, neagle luthier.
This is an excellent rectangle

My guy's back. These fit pretty well IIRC.
