i know that all too well. i used to borrow my friends one for gigs. i carried it on the bus, got turned off the bus, waited for the next bus, got on that one (had to pay a childs fair for the amp) then wheeled it up Buchanan street in glasgow and onto the tube..... then to the venue. still not as fun as the time i borrowed a 2x15 cab on wheels and decided to ride it around the curvy overpass in ek. would i want to use one for every gig? hell no. but i'd still love one.

My two choices will always be SFPR and 6G2 Princeton.
Liked the DRRI I had before I got into Princetons and the Custom Vibrolux Reverb is good too, lots of power. Like a little Vibro King.
But yeah, pretty much always gonna be Princetons for my Jag and JM or any guitar for that matter.

Not pictured is a ‘65 Fender Reverb I recently picked up for some of that sweet drippy Reverb!

My band mate runs an AVRI 65 jazzmaster through a vibrolux and ac30. I’ve tied it through 2 badcats and it has sounded great

I have one of these &, I have to say, it makes everything I plug into it sound great to my ears.mackerelmint wrote: ↑Thu Nov 16, 2017 6:15 pmHonestly, for my money, the ol Vox Pathfinder 15 is a tough one to beat with a nice set of single coils.

Re: What is your favorite Amp for your Jags & JM's?
They're such nice amps, in spite of being cheaply made and having tiny speakers. I tend to run mine into a 112. Sometimes I wonder about getting a pair of pathfinder 10s and doing the power mods to them that supposedly get them up to around 30 watts. It's pretty much a transformer swap and a new amp chip. You'd wanna stick a speaker out jack in there too. I love my Pathfinder 10 but the 6 inch speaker is so, so bad.mackerelmint wrote: ↑Sun Nov 26, 2017 5:07 pmThey're such nice amps, in spite of being cheaply made and having tiny speakers. At home, I play through my Vox AC4. Live, I run a Fender Hot Rod Deville 410. My offsets are a 1959 Jazzmaster and a 2014 TVL Jazzmaster.

Yeah, my interest would be in cutting it down a little bit into a head and just running it into an extension cab.601210 wrote: ↑Mon Nov 27, 2017 2:02 amYou'd wanna stick a speaker out jack in there too. So I did just pick a cheap JC-77 up on a whim. It does what I expected it to do. I think I’m going to have it for a long time, but I’d still take my SFPR or an AC30 over it.

Re: What is your favorite Amp for your Jags & JM's?
My favourite amp to play my Jag is a 1966 Vibrolux Reverb. JM into it sound great too, but so they do in a lot of other amps, which is not always the case for the Jag.
For the JM, I also use a Magnatone 280 and a Magnatone 213.
The only amp I have that I really don't like for offsets is a Trace Elliott Velocette (single 10" speaker). This is a really bright amp, that works well with darker sounding guitars.
