OK.. just talked to ED from fender. He took great delight in telling me it would arrive "by the end of the year" and seemed happy I didn't have my guitar in my hands. After a stern talking to and a few choice words, and being hung up on, he answered and told me "the official release date is September 10th". So for everybody waiting, there's the answer. Easy as pulling teeth!

It also moves at Thomann ... The Lake Placid Blue is announced "Usually available in 6-7 weeks" so mid-October, the Olympic White "Usually available in 8-9 weeks" so late October, and the sunburst is still in "Pre-order now ".

I just thought it was remarkable that Musicstore already has one available (probably sometime) this week. This and the fact that Musicstore has a higher price than most other European stores I've checked.

Of course, by next week they can delay the delivery date again. Anyhow they seem to receive the instrument much earlier than other shops. I wonder how that's possible. Does musicstore own the German importer of Fender or so?

We have all been waiting from January for this release!
Surely they have to start shipping soon. Hopefully the UK get them soon. I've been checking every site,every day waiting for some little piece of news!
