FYI, Elderly Instruments in Lansing, Michigan, USA told me they expected to get some in their shop for general sales. This was about six weeks ago. Their site lists them as sold out, because they are not yet in, I assume.

So I noticed that the XII is no longer on Fender's website. I was really hoping to score one of these but I wonder if they're even going to happen.

Just got back from a trip to a local guitar shop where I asked about these- shop manager checked with his supplier and said that the pre-order period for these (and the tele tenor from the same line) is over, so he can't promise me one. He put me on a wait list (first in line! ) so if a white or blue one goes unclaimed (or the ordering shop has a credit hold, etc.) he can get them brought in. Guess we'll see... but it seems like a good sign that demand is high and product will be moving into stores win a month or so.

I've got a LPB on pre-order with GuitarGuitar in the UK. Just checked with them - Fender are now saying mid-September to them.

I wonder if the Squier Starcaster will be out before then?

Update-

Paid a $150 deposit on a white or LPB one if one becomes available- fingers crossed!

I just asked when my electric xii would be in and I also got mid september because of "production issues". Sigh :/

It's a shame that Fender didn't try harder to get the vibe of the real EXII with this release.

I totally understand the bridge decision, but the clear satin look on the neck and the light brown Pao Ferro board is totally buzzkill for me.

Back in May CME was taking pre-orders and giving an ETA of July 25. I don't know if they've pushed the date back.
