Could they have chosen a more boring color?

100 Sherwoods would sell faster than 50 creamy-corns. Think about that, Wildwood.

Genuinely doing the sums on what I could sell to buy one of these - I don’t need an amp, right?
Personal taste being what it is, this is way more exciting to me than Sherwood Green would be.

Man, I still don't understand why they don't issue the TS series stuff with a 7.25" radius. I mean, I know it's not that huge of a difference, but it's enough to make me not want to buy one. Especially the '59 reissues, I'd be all over one if it was 7.25...
Edit: My biggest concern is not being able to play one before shelling out $2k, and to do that I'd have to sell some stuff that I really love, and I'd rather not do that to buy something sight unseen.

How many people can pass a blind test between a 7.25 and a 9.5 radius? I wonder that
Jaguar > Jazzmaster :)

Honestly after I posted that last post I was thinking of the same thing, and honestly don't even know what the radius is on my 62 Guild Starfire - all I know is it plays well and I love it. Looking into it, radius varied a good bit among Guilds too (although they tend to be closer to a 7.25), so it's entirely possible it's not a 7.25. But my jag and jazzmaster are both 7.25 and I'm cool with those, so i guess it's more about what's been comfortable so far.
But yeah, try me - I'd honestly probably not be able to tell much of a difference, especially in the way that I play.

Re: Wildwood thin skin jags are back.
When I was shopping for Jaguars last year Wildwood Guitars told me they had these vintage white Thin Skin AVRI's on order. I wasn't really interested because vintage white is perhaps my least favorite color on a Fender, and I don't like skinny necks. I took a look at some of the vintage white Jags that they just got in, and I have to say that I think they look great in that color, and the necks look like they actually have some beef to them. If I hadn't picked up two Marr Jaguars last summer, I'd def jump on one of these.

I wouldn’t be concerned about buying online with Wildwood. I’ve got 2 AMAZING thin skins, an AV65 Jazzmaster and an AV64 Telecaster. Both came with an great setup and absolutely no issues. And the guitars are just beautiful and play amazing. I’ve heard their return policy is great too.rbrcbr wrote: ↑Fri Feb 22, 2019 9:15 amMan, I still don't understand why they don't issue the TS series stuff with a 7.25" radius. I always check the Wildwood thin skin site to see what’s new. I do like these Jags. But I’m still paying off my AV64 Telecaster so maybe a Sherwood green will come out after that!
