Yes, it is!
Although i’ve enjoyed the whimsical direction this thread has taken at times, i can’t help getting frustrated as well. As illustrated by the post above (which i realise is tongue-in-cheek), the camp saying “it’s a Jazzmaster if fender calls it one” are taking the issue too literally, and missing the point. Why on earth would someone - in OSG especially - start a thread asking which guitars fender calls Jazzmaster?
Perhaps if the original thread title had been “what defines the aesthetics and sound of a Jazzmaster” we would have avoided all this!
