I don't think they are up anywhere in the Internet anymore.

Premature list-tation... Sorry... But what a tease by Squier.

Will they re-appear shortly?

Oh man... I always thought I didn't give a shit about Starcasters, or semi-hollows in general for that matter, but that walnut CV (and, well, maybe a parted out neck or two) is seriously calling my name.

It looks like the these have extra deep neck pockets/heel like the MP version, so that adds complications for anyone looking to swap necks.

Sign me in!

I'm so glad I hate the Starcaster lol if Squier puts out a Coronado, Toronado or Jagstang then I'll be proper mad about getting one.

Well, in fairness, what's a contemporary guitar from any other company? Guitar culture has been pretty stagnant for the last 2-3 decades, except for the metalheads getting further and further into adding extra low strings and fanned frets.

Musically, that's really niche though. There just haven't been any new* guitar heroes in a few decades to change our ideas of what a "contemporary" guitar, or guitarist, is.

*stylistically speaking.
Couldn't agree more and, on a side note, I have mad respect for Tosin, but I liked his light blue Ibanez better than the ones he makes. I'm not much into "math prog rock" or whatever they call it, but I can really enjoy the sound and aesthetics of Animals as Leaders.
Jaguar > Jazzmaster :)

The only „new“ guitar hero for me is Anna Calvi. And she rocks a Tele. So... contemporary means active electronics, I guess?

This is gonna sound sacrilegious to many, but it'd be a much better looking guitar if it were differentiated from the fender models by having a different headstock. I hate that foot-looking headstock, it makes my visual pun oriented brain fill in the image with some creepy looking sweaty guy licking it.

Share my pain, people.
I'd be done with Squier if they released those with another headstock
It needs one of those pointy Dean headstocks. See, Larry? People talk about Dean guitars.
This is an excellent rectangle

Just like the original!

Starcasters never had an overhang for the 22 fret neck.
Swapping may be harder this way; but it's vintage correct! ;)

Of all the vintage details to keep correct, that seems like the silliest.

The bridge and knobs would be cool things to keep the same. The unlike-every-single-other-Fender neck heels aren't!

Yeah, that's me. I can already see it sitting next to Nelvis. :fp:
