string gauges? - squier Vintage Modified Baritone Jazzmaster

Post by markblack77 » Fri Jul 19, 2019 3:35 pm

I've just picked up a second hand Vintage Modified Baritone Jazzmaster and its strung with the factory .014-.068's

what would the effect of putting on a set of 13-62's? I played a supro with these but it had a shorter scale lenght but I did like the lighter feel.

Since these are basically the same scale length as a Bass VI, 30" that is, the strings that are on are already lighter than I would prefer them - but that depends a lot on your preferred tuning. Do you tune to A D G C E A?
