i mean typically i agree, but i personally think an offset tele makes a ton of sense, in that my number one complaint about them is the big, hard edged body and the way it digs in to you. not a huge problem but - for myself, the jazzmaster/jaguar shape is the most comfortable to play, so i’m into the idea. no, it’s not innovative or unique or spectacular, it’s just a good take on the tele imo.
granted, i think it would make a hell of a lot more sense for them to just do a basic tele with the offset shape... the p90s are a bit of a goofy call, imo, and the whole mahogany thing is fine... no real complaints but i personally would rather just have a tele in a jazz body and take it from there.

Installing Jazzmaster pickups would require extra routing of the pickup cavities, so only 'easy enough' if you are very skilled[*] with a router and already have those templates to hand.postchrist wrote: ↑Thu Oct 24, 2019 9:40 amjazzmaster pups would be an easy enough mod... wowwww these look good.
* There is no pickguard to hide behind if you don't get it absolutely spot on for the bridge pickup, particularly the semicircle notched section for the mounting screws.

Anyone here actually go hands-on with one of these and can leave their impressions?

I think I prefer this earlier version they did a few years back, but I do like the new ones as well

I recently purchased one of these in trans red through Ikebe-Gakki, and the wood grain under light on both the body and neck are gorgeous.
