What store sites did you see this on?
I'm sure some Fender dealer in '64 looked at the new Duo-Sonic II and thought, "That's not a Duo-Sonic. That's a Mustang".

If it has a Jazzmaster trem I'm intrigued.
The most interesting thing to me is that this would be the first noiseless Jazzmaster pickup Fender has ever made. I don't count the JZHB, those were straight up advertised as stacked HBs that sounded like HBs.

Re: Fender American Ultra Jazzmaster
Might want. Would be nice to have some jazzmaster shaped humbucker options for under $150 a pickup. I am kinda tired of routing bodies for normal humbuckers. LOL

I'm more of an inaccurate soloing sort of guy so it's a 'no' from me.

I'm pretty intrigued, also. I wonder what's up with these noiseless Jazzmaster pickups.
Back in those days, everyone knew that if you were talking about Destiny's Child, you were talking about Beyonce, LaTavia, LeToya, and Larry.

Re: Fender American Ultra Jazzmaster
Ok, so they ARE "official" noiseless JM pickups!
I don't really want the rest of that package, but that means that these should become available as parts, and presumably I could track down an actual demo model in a store, so for once there's a pickup I'm interested in that could be play-tested beforehand.
Pretty cool. The rest of the guitar looks like a straight copy-paste job from the Fender Japan Hybrid Jazzmaster though, except for the radius/neck profile.
There do seem to be two tone knobs on the Ultra, though, and a side jack.

Shit, there's even a bone nut on these things. I like them... I think it's very cool.
And yeah, if these noiseless Jazzmaster pickups are any good, maybe I'll pick some up aftermarket. I've been debating putting some Kinmans in my AVRI but maybe these would be good, also.

Re: Fender American Ultra Jazzmaster
I realize it’s compound radius, but is that a fixed bridge like staytrem? I never did quite know what bridges were better suited to compound radius necks
