I rather fancy this but anyone know if they are heavy ...lime body ,and if it will take a Fender neck .The ergonomics and P980 are calling me ;D

Word of warning: I own a Jack & Danny JM-10 (that's the green offset model with Strat pickups and trem) and tried to replace the neck with a Squier CV 50s Strat one, and it doesn't really fit without modification. The route on the J&D body was too wide, too deep, and with a different heel shape (still rounded but with a different curvature to it), so there were gaps on all sides.

My JM-10 is not a bad guitar at all but nothing to write home about either. I also own a J&D TL (Tele copy) which is a nicer player, especially for the 79 € (!) I paid for it new back in the day.

My JM-10 doesn't have a particularly heavy body (although the Strat routes mean less wood than on a Telemaster) ; the body is smaller than a regular Jazzmaster. Also, lime=basswood.

Now, Squier is apparently planning to release a Telemaster model this year. But no P90 in the neck position... Although in my experience routing for a P90 would be easier than fixing an ill-fitting neck.

I was thinking ‘hairy Jack ‘n’ Danny’...in a Steve Jones sex pistols voice.
