Congrats. It’s a great instrument and puts you in a small club. I’ve had two and my current MIJ VI has been a dream. It’s a lot of fun and if you are doing any multitrack recording it can make for some interesting results if you double a lead guitar part.

I did it before and I can't do it enough: I strongly recommend Newtone strings. They cost like 15£, are handmade in the UK and sound and play phenomenal. They use larger cores for the low e and a string, so you get more tension and a thicker tone on a .100 e and .080 a string. These are imo the most bestest roundwound strings you can get for a VI.

I’ve used LaBella flats on my VI from pretty much day one. They’ve treated me quite well.
