The mercury is just asking for an aluminum neck! Great colour.

I don't like the idea of spending that kind of money (if similar to American Pro I series), but if they make the dark night finish in lefty, I would be seriously tempted to get a body on Stratosphere or something...

NEVERRRRRRR

If Spitfire is making his "outer space nebula" tort, though, that would look pretty cool if one wanted to take it in that direction.
This is an excellent rectangle

Or one of the Space Age-themed guards from Decoboom ;)

This Mercury really looks cool - perfect as is. Well Maybe a matching headstock would be a nice addition :)

Sorry to anyone that likes it, but Antigua is to me one of the worst finishes ever. This Mercury looks great though.

There's a Virtual Guitar Show this weekend, so I'm thinking they'll be announced then, out in time for Xmas?

I think Antigua is like pugs, they're ugliness draws me towards them

No, it really doesn't. This can't be the go-to mantra for every model, regardless of color. I think people just say it out of reflex/habit at this point. May as well hold up a lighter and yell "Freebird" at a Mariah Carey concert. :D I like "Freebird", sure...but it doesn't fit/belong everywhere either. It, too, has its place.

Yeah, everything has its place, but I think a nice tort would look good on there. A little like Costello's main JM.

Each to their own - I'm not trying to force tort on people - only one of my guitars has it. Don't think the Carey-Freebird assertion really follows, but there you go...
