American Original 60’s Jazzmaster Pickguard change
Anyone change their AO’s Pickguard yet? Will AVRI or AV65 Pickguards fit the AO or has something changed?
I have the OTM AO and I love the dark brown tortoise shell look with that color but my particular guard is too busy. I’d like to swap it with one that’s a little darker and has less “specs” in it but I’m not sure if all the high end American models can use the same size PIckguard. Any ideas?

I've changed mine. I got an anodized gold guard off Reverb that fits perfectly from a guy in Ireland. I'm not sure if AVRI or 65 guards will fit though. I want to say that while I was looking around for a new guard that I read that American fender guards will work on all American models, but I'm sure someone here knows for sure. Several of the ones I looked at said "Fits all American Models".
They don't advertise for killers in the newspaper. That was my profession. Ex-cop. Ex-blade runner. Ex-killer.

Thanks for your insight on this! Yes, I have seen it said too that the American made, standard switching Models should be swapable But I’ve also seen comments to the contrary.ncarey13 wrote: ↑Mon Sep 28, 2020 9:15 amI've changed mine. I bet that Gold guard looks awesome! I’ve considered that too.

I love those gold Jazzmaster pickguards. I think one would look great on a white/blonde (grain showing) body, like this one.

I changed mine (post here: http://www.offsetguitars.com/forums/vie ... 6&t=117195
I bought a Fender 'Pure Vintage' guard (which I think is an AV65 guard) and it fits perfectly.

This is super helpful! Those were the ones I was looking at. OTM really looks great with any Pickguard! That white looks SO clean!guitarsammy wrote: ↑Mon Sep 28, 2020 1:42 pmI changed mine (post here: http://www.offsetguitars.com/forums/vie ... 6&t=117195
