not sure why, but I've always had an unreasoning hatred for sunburst Jazzmasters, but think the color works on Jaguars. Maybe all the extra chrome on the Jaguar, I dunno. I like the Shoreline Gold version of this and even if they are mini hums instead, it's a different look. A lot of other things I would buy before this, but overall it's cool. Worst case, replace the fake gold foils w/real ones.

FYI I have a shorline gold one and it might be my favorite guitar. You can get a lot of cool sound options with the three pickups and combinations. I don't even mind the bigsby, although I don't use tremolos often. I think it looks familiar enough that it is comfortable, but different enough to be cool and interesting. I don't know for sure what pickups are actually in them, but I liked them as is and don't feel a need to change them. I think I just put a mastery on mine, but that was just because why not? LOL No QC issues I found with mine. The neck is fantastic.

Man, Squier and Fender have gotten straight up freaky in recent years.

I kind of dig it.

I had my eyes on these since they came out and I picked one up after reading your review. I completely agree, these guitars are total winners. The pickups are actually great and the neck is a bit thin, but extremely playable. The bigsby is a nice change of pace for the occasional flutter. No QC issues at all, which is a nice change from the last couple Fenders I purchased.

Glad you found a winner like I did. I love it. Mine sits on the love seat in my living room. LOL
