That's my listing.
Cool!
Any plans to do a split XII pickup equipped version?

Also curious about this. I messaged on ebay about this exact topic last week! If you need a loaner XII and/or a set of the Roswell XII pickups for reference, I don't live too far away from your shop...

I'm happy to do up a template for the split pickups. Having the guitar and pickups on the bench would be a big help as there are several different sizes for the split pickups and I'd want to make sure I had a good spacing on the coils. I have a template for a vintage XII, but I've heard the string spacing on those is wider than the Squier.

Cool, I'll IM you and work out details to bring it by with the pickups I've sourced.

For those who have swapped out the OEM pickups for PV ‘65’s, are PVs RWRP?
And, has anyone just changed the bridge to a PV '65 and kept the OEM neck?

Well, since the missus went on a trip to NYC and I stayed home with the kid for 2 weeks, she agreed to bring me the JMXII. I wanted one since they were announced and this was my chance. Wife and guitar arrived today. I'm pretty impressed, it's really cool.

The good: Ready to play from factory. Great action, intonation and setup, nice nut. Impecable fretwork. Lovely LPB finish. Neck looks and feels great and the laurel fretboard looks pretty good in my book (it'll probably look better after applying guitar honey). Tuners work fine. I tuned it once and played it for hours and it stayed perfectly in tune. Easier to play than the few electric 12 strings I tried. Pots feel sturdy and responsive.

The not so good: Yup, pickups are hot (will swap them at some point). Body contours are minimal (but at this price point something has to give in I guess)

Overall, a pretty ridiculous amount of guitar for the money (got mine for 380 shipped). It's my first and probably last 12 string guitar and I'm happy to get it in the beloved JM form, my favorite color and that it's so easy to play. While I know the quality of newer squiers have improved a lot lately, I'm still wowed by the neck and the playability of this thing. Get one while you can.

Any update on this? I’m modding mine to have Jaguar rhythm/lead controls/plates (the toggle being replaced by a rotary) and I’d love to get new pick guards cut to fit these, for both Jazzmaster and XII-style pickups.

For those of you that one, can anyone confirm if the body routing is the same as what was posted here earlier in this thread from an Affinity JM?

I’ll be getting one of these sooner than later and one of my desired mods would be to add series/parallel wiring and it would look nice if I could use a slide switch and put it up where the rhythm circuit would be normally.

Thanks!

The no-routing mod for all the series/parallel options is the Freeway six-way toggle switches.

Freeway Switches

(The 3x3-03 is the one for this application. The prewired 3x3-08 is really for wiring up to LP controls, not for post-switch master controls.)

I know the 4-way paddle switch is trad in the XII and replicas, but this is a couple more sounds, so that appeals to me.

I’ve bookmarked that, thanks. Short of being able to install a slider switch like I originally mentioned, I was thinking of falling back to trying to use a push/pull pot with the tone to handle the series/parallel switching. I had done a quick search about 4- toggles but I hadn’t seen the product you linked.

Has anyone confirmed they have a regular width heel or is it a wider one.
Can anyone confirm the heel width on these? I am plotting...
