Someone at Squier is clearly pressing ALL the buttons on the "custom guitar creator" app.

Incredibly grateful that strat isn’t a hardtail like its fender 70th counterpart.
I’d have needed it for sure.

I generally hate Antigua, but these all look strangely cool. Either they picked a good shade of puke-green or I'm my taste in guitars has gone to shit.

This was my EXACT reaction! At least our taste has gone to shit together.

Well I mean Antigua was never green, except in those misguided Fender Japan avocado burst finishes. It's white fading to grey, and with a yellowed clearcoat looks like the tan-to-umber fade on these Squiers.
e.g. this '78 Strat:

They all look amazing.

I’m not in the market for a guitar, and I generally don’t think that highly of squiers (having owned many over the years),….

But if I was in the market, I’d buy one of these in a second. Especially that Stratocaster. Or the bass vi.

Damn. I already own a strat and a bass vi, so it’s all a moot point. But still. Damn.

Hopefully, they will do Mustangs and Jazz basses.

I sold my '79 Antigua Strat a couple years ago, and I've been missing it lately, so I'm counting down the days until these are sold in the States. I mulled the 70th anniversary Vintera II for a bit, but I can't justify the $1500. I'm in for the Strat and probably the Precision when they become available.

Also, I posted this in the other thread, but Squier, if you're listening...

Thank goodness there's not a Jazzmaster. Because if there was, I'd have to get one. LOVE antigua. But I'd likely have to partsmaster it because it would have a maple fretboard and I prefer rosewood with antiqua.

I can see Squier releasing other models if this is successful... Starcaster, Jazz bass, Coronado, Jazzmaster, Jaguar, Maurader... Please take all my money. Right now I think that tele is just hitting all the spots for me.

Years ago I remember seeing this

As STRATosphere will probably start breaking these apart I might do a similar black tele with that antigua guard...

Yup, that’s exactly the color that my ‘78 Antigua Tele was…not puke green at all.

Same with my '79 Strat. I always called it "greyburst".
