Appreciate the write-up on a really cool lesser seen model. Surprised by the lack of even shielding paint. Very keen to see how it looks when the witch-hats come in!

I guess it's possible they sprayed the gloss lacquer top coat over the shielding paint, but that would be pretty unusual. Next time I open up the guitar I'll check it with my multimeter to see if there is any continuity in the cavities. If not, I wonder if some worker looked at it and mistakenly thought it already had shielding paint because the guitar is black, so they just moved it along to the next step in the finishing process.forestgreen wrote:Surprised by the lack of even shielding paint
I had a Japanese CIJ Jaguar with shielding paint in the cavities and it was just as noisy, so I don't think that paint does much anyway.

Ah, yes. Been a hot minute since I’ve seen any footage of him using it.sunburster wrote: ↑Thu May 02, 2024 4:22 pmFrom what I could gather from a google search, his is a black '63 body paired with a '65 neck with dots & binding, without a matching headstock.BoringPostcards wrote: ↑Wed May 01, 2024 4:54 amThom Yorke has one just like that, which he used a lot during the OK Computer era.
