If you could have the offset of a famous person....which one would it be?

Post by zhivago » Fri Feb 09, 2007 12:43 pm

Elvis Costello's Marlin Burst?

Rober Smith's Black Blocks & Binding Bass VI?

Thurston Moore's Seafoam Gold Guard?

Mascis' Sunburst '65 with all the stickers that he recorded "Freakscene" with?

Nels Cline's Black '59 Jazzmaster?

Tom Verlaine's Jaguar?

let's have it :)

Well, I wouldn't want to take Nel's main axe away from him, so I'd go for one of Tom Verlaine's unused Jazzmasters or maybe one of Jeff Tweedy's.  Oly White or sunburst, please.  Blonde is nice, too, but I'm not sure if they've got one.

On the non-offset front, I've always wanted a Strat like Richard Lloyd's:

my last vintage Jazzmaster was actually owned by someone famous, Billy Gibbons (ZZ top)

I want that Jaguar that J Mascis threw off that mountain in th Out there Video! (before he threw it of course)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6XBIfOFtmmM

I belive this Jag is the same one being abused in the Whatever's cool  Video as well
