There are environmental issues, plus it degrades. But you can still get it .. apparently there's a company in Italy that makes and sells it, but the minimum order is a block the size of a small car, so it's not a realistic option for anyone short of a major company.

Rumble Seat has an interesting new Nash "replica." Something tells me he's been tinkering in the dressing room.
Maple with black blocks would have been cooler...

is it just me, or is there no trem-lock on that Nash JM?
I couldn't be having that at all!

It's just one of the non-Fender branded copies.

Very strange! So it's not Fender, then who makes it?

I'd say it's allparts. They have a generic like that in their catalog.

Yeah, I've got one in my parts box that came attached (spuriously, obviously) to a vintage body.
I replaced it with a vintage trem block, but it did get the job done in the meantime.

So what does it look like on the underside? Got a pic?

Stew-Mac carries that too.
It's import-quality, probably comparable to the CIJ.

I actually owned that Nash Jazzmaster for a week.
I took it back because it didn't sound very good and it was of very bad quality.
Not worth the price they're being sold for.

actually, i think it´s slightly better quality than CIJ. i played a guitar with an allparts trem once and it felt more like an AVRI or vintage, minus the trem lock. although it could just be the fact that they have stiffer springs than CIJs.

I sit corrected.
I wonder where we could get those springs?
