I assume that's some sort of clear plexiglass sheet over the top of the guitar and headstock? The only thing I might change would be the color. How is that vibrato on it?antisymmetric wrote: ...and a Commodore:
Yes, you're right, that's clear plexiglass (except we know it as perspex in this part of the world), with the graphics and colour applied to the back. The trem is ok, quite radical in a way, each string has it's own adjustment (see my reply to odinthewanderer a few posts back for details). Also, it uses a big dense chunk of rubber instead of a spring. Re the colour, I've only ever seen a handful of these guitars, most of which were white, but the first one I ever saw (at which point I'd never heard of them and didn't pay enough attention) was green- somewhere near British Racing Green, or the Cadillac Green that Gretsch used. Soundwise- low output pickups with a bit of sparkle, if that makes any sense. Closest comparison I can think of would be Gretsch. Listening to the TV Jones sound samples, HiLoTron would be closest. Glad you like it, it's good to see these guitars getting some love.
