I'm looking for the pot to fit MIJ roller knobs for a PTB tone stack.
Could someone point to a source to purchase the correct-sized (and value) pot?
EDIT: Would this be right? http://www.smallbear-electronics.mybigc ... der-terms/
thanks!

I spent the $ to find the pot is fine but the shaft is slightly oversized for the CIJ roller knob, of course.
US-spec rollers are now on the way.

I would have thought that that pot would have fit for sure. The usually measure just under 6mm yeah? Are you sure the grub screw was backed right off or there isn't a bit of a burr where the tapped out hole for the grub screw is?
The US rollers are for a smaller shaft, ie just under 4mm, so they wont fit your 1/4 inch pots.

Thanks for your response!
Welp that's a bummer about the american rollers.
I don't have digital calipers, but I'd estimate the shaft on the new Alpha pot is about .5 MM larger than the shaft on the stock CIJ pots. No burr or set screw issue.
The new Alpha pot fits standard "solid shaft" guitar knobs (ie Telecaster style).
I think it's the difference between 6 or 6.12mm on the CIJ roller and true 1/4" on the pot.
EDIT: I'm just going to sand the Alpha pot shaft down to 6mm from 6.35mm.
I don't have a vice, so drilling the roller out isn't an option for me.
This pic is misleading because relative distance to the lens, but you can see what I'm working with. (The pic makes the shaft look 1mm+ larger.)

Hand sanding the 6.38 mm pot shaft with 120grit took a while but ending up working.
voila - PTB circuit complete!

I forget whether Rothstein sands the pot or reams the rollers (I think it's the latter), but I know they definitely have to mod them slightly to work in their harness with the bass cut roller pot.Tepr wrote:Hand sanding the 6.38 mm pot shaft with 120grit took a while but ending up working.

Glad it worked out for you!
