Re: Why doesn't Mastery sell replacement arms for their tremolos?
I bought a Callahan trem block and arm for my MIM Strat. I discovered I don't like the shorter arm after getting used to offsets and asked if I could buy a standard length arm. They said no, buy it again. I then sold my trem block and got a $30 "upgraded" tremolo that comes in MIM Strats these days. I don't notice a difference.
With Callahan, not only do they act like these small changes transform your tone and that if you crogyenicilly treat your balls you will become the next Hendrix, but they have an archaic way to order from them. Not worth it.
If Mastery is the same way, maybe it's time I move to Staytrem

Right. But I'm a heinous female, so I'm supposed to be attracted to it, I guess.mbene085 wrote: ↑Fri Dec 01, 2017 2:28 pm
You got it wrong. He's just a rare "alpha male", and all of us who respond negatively to him are worthless betas who are naturally fearful of the superiority of true alphas.
Don't remember where he went on that diatribe, but it was characteristically unhinged.

The Zachary guy. An older version of his website had a whole page on it dedicated to a delusional rant about an ex-girlfriend who apparently wronged him by not putting up with his shit, and it named names and had pictures and everything. Went on and on about how evil she was and how terrible things should happen to her. That guy is a straight up menace.tdbajus wrote: ↑Fri Dec 01, 2017 2:32 pmHa! It took me 6 months, IIRC, to get my money back from Toneguard after waiting 6 months without receiving it.mbene085 wrote: ↑Fri Dec 01, 2017 2:06 pmThere's "sometimes I don't exist, sometimes I do" ToneGuard, "I'm doing you a favour by selling you a $300 trem" Mastery, Angela "that'll be $30 shipping for your capacitor" Isntruments, and this guy (skip to 7 minutes and/or read his interactions with commenters if you want a fascinating view into the perspective of a man who thinks he's a gift from god).
The Zachary guy (the video is pretty insane) or the Mastery guy?mackerelmint wrote: ↑Fri Dec 01, 2017 2:24 pmOh! I remember his website with his rants about women and the abusive, mortifying shit he said about an ex whom he named and posted pictures of. He's a real psycho.

Great. I was thinking about building a Jazzmaster with a bigsby and putting these parts on it:eurotrashed wrote: ↑Fri Dec 01, 2017 2:52 pmI bought a Callahan trem block and arm for my MIM Strat. Huh, weird. Guess I'm lucky that I had Woody's email address saved from '09 when I first started doing business with them.
I'd have sent you a replacement arm for free as a goodwill gesture. And, you know, maybe as a side benefit you'd let people know how good your experiences with my company's service and products had been

A shame. I was an early customer (2008 or 2009) and I also got treated badly after more than 5 orders (I don't want to go into details). Sorry to say ...but Mastery, never again.

Sucks to read the bad experiences. Sounds downright abusive. I'd be done with them. Seems like a very backward way of doing business.
No matter I guess. Their stuff is gaudy and I prefer the original kit anyways. Not worth the extra money and emotional abuse.

Ah, if I'm being honest, they'd probably say that I caused the emotional trauma.
Back in those days, everyone knew that if you were talking about Destiny's Child, you were talking about Beyonce, LaTavia, LeToya, and Larry.
