Yeah, I'm hoping for middle ground... the Tyson in this Junior sounds good, but it's almost double the volume of my JM, and WAY hotter - I'd like to keep some of that P90 goodness, but tone it down a bit and gain a little sparkle. Hoping this Lollar does the trick - they already shipped it to me, so I'll know soon!

Ok, for anyone following along at home, I decided I'd actually compare the Lollar Alnico Pole P90 to the other two P90s I had on hand.

For me, the Lollar is the winner - still sorta P90ish, but cleaner, more sparkle, a step towards the Jazzmaster without losing some of the good P90 stuff.

I actually preferred the Gibson to the Tyson... was a little warmer in my mind.

I ain't big on video editing, etc, so... apologies.

Exact same amp and guitar settings and strings for all three clips - Princeton Reverb I built into a Tweed Deluxe size cab w/ a 12" WGS ET65, Lovepedal Amp 11 for drive.
