It does resemble a brass turd being laid on that guitar or some old bit of unidentifiable furnishing you'd find in a skip

All the ugliness of that RSD abortion, with none of the tremolo. I'd use it as a sinker on a fishing line.

Hopefully it remains the only one made, while being unmade.

Harsh. The bridge isn’t Leo’s design, Isn’t to everyone’s taste, but doesn’t mean it’s bad. If you don’t like it then don’t buy it.

I love the solid nature, stability and tone of my JM RSD, to the point that I am now a fan. I’d rock that top loader version on a P90 or Filtertron type Tele for sure.

Dude, shut up. Since the original RSD bridge came out, it's divided opinion here over its looks. And this board is here for us to discuss stuff like that, opine, whatever. Obviously I'm not buying one, but calling out its ugly-ass aesthetics isn't the same as calling it a bad bridge, and this board is here for us to make those kinds of statements. Deal with it. I'm not someone who really gives a shit about hardware aesthetics one way or another, usually, but this thing for whatever reason is just uglier than anything I could have come up with if I were trying to make an especially ugly bridge. So, naturally, I hate it. So do many others. Everyone has things that strike them as too ugly to go uncommented on, and this is just one that presses that button for me. For you it might be when women wear empire waist dresses, or maybe it's a certain car. You're allowed to call stuff butt ugly without some clown popping up and saying "then don't buyyyyy it" as if that's some kind of input worth making the effort to express.

I mean, if it were plainer, or at least more symmetrical, it'd be an appealing TOM wraparound alternative. It's neither of those things. Fuck this bridge, fuck the bridge it was patterned on, and WTF to you people who like it. I hope y'all go to a hell with lime green/banana yellow tiled bathrooms with matching carpet as punishment for your aesthetic sins.

Seems like the strings will pass over at least two hard brass corners. Gonna break a lot of strings.

More parts for people who hate Jazzmasters to "build a better Jazzmaster" with.

It wouldn't matter if you loved it, you can't buy it. For some reason, Fender is reserving these bridges for Custom Shop people only. The rest of the chumps will just deal with whatever Fender decides to put out there.

You know. Kind of like you might be a Chevrolet person, you shouldn't think of yourself in Cadillac terms. You'll know when you are a Cadillac person and until then you shouldn't embarrass yourself and the rest of us complaining about how your Chevrolet isn't a Cadillac. Just accept your lot and be lucky you aren't on the bus.

What a gross, out of touch company Fender is. How far from what Leo Fender set out to do they've become.
Back in those days, everyone knew that if you were talking about Destiny's Child, you were talking about Beyonce, LaTavia, LeToya, and Larry.

Yeah, true enough. Makes the braying of "don't buy it then" that much more obnoxious. Doesn't stop pictures of them being posted for us plebes to look at and muse on how inconceivably atrocious looking they are. It exists, some people are going to have them, they'll be assaulting my eyes whether I own one or not.

Mismatched metals that clash visually, hard corners for strings to break on, would leave 17 miles of blank surface area behind the bridge to ruin the looks of some of the most beautiful guitar designs ever made.

I'm not upset about them keeping this one locked in the tall cupboard where the plebes can't reach it.

Someone was like, "How do we take the concept of the Mastery and make it even less like Leo's original intent?"
